A320 tracker: every Airbus A320 family jet flying right now

The A320 family became the most-delivered jetliner family in history in October 2025, when it passed the Boeing 737. Here is every A318, A319, A320 and A321, original and neo, broadcasting right now, with the versions and airlines that dominate the sky at this moment.

Original and neo

Airbus launched a new engine option, the neo, in December 2010 and renamed the original versions ceo, for current engine option. The neo's engines are much larger, the easiest way to tell the two apart from the ground, and every neo has the upturned sharklet wingtips that only some later ceos carry.

The Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan fitted to many neos has had a hard few years. A flaw in the powdered metal used for some engine parts, found in 2023, forced early inspections that kept hundreds of A320neo-family jets on the ground for months at a time.

The A321 takes over

The A321, the longest member, now outsells the A320 itself in its neo form. Long-range versions, the A321LR and A321XLR, carry enough fuel to cross the Atlantic; Iberia flew the first XLR passenger service, Madrid to Boston, in November 2024. Every A321neo broadcasts the same A21N code, so this page counts LRs and XLRs with the rest.

At the other end, the shortened A318 is the rarest member: only about 80 were built, so one in the version list is worth a look.

Who flies the A320 family

IndiGo, American, China Eastern, China Southern, easyJet, Wizz Air, Delta and the Lufthansa Group airlines all fly large fleets, so the map is busy on every continent. The airline list above shows who has the most in the air right now. The 737 tracker does the same for its rival, and the A320 vs A320neo comparison covers what changed with the new engines.

Questions

What is the difference between the A319, A320 and A321?

They share the same cabin width, cockpit and systems and differ mainly in length. In typical layouts the A319 seats about 120 to 150 people, the A320 about 150 to 180 and the A321 about 180 to 240. A pilot qualified on one can fly the others.

What does A20N mean?

A20N is the ICAO code for the A320neo. The A321neo is A21N and the A319neo is A19N, while the original versions use A319, A320 and A321. Flight-tracking apps show these codes for the aircraft type.

How many A320s are in the air right now?

The count at the top of this page is live and includes every member of the family, from the A318 to the A321neo, that an ADS-B receiver can hear at this moment.

Why isn't an aircraft I know is flying on the map?

Positions come from volunteer ADS-B receivers, which only hear aircraft within roughly 200 nautical miles. Over oceans, deserts and parts of Africa and Asia there are few receivers, so an aircraft can vanish mid-flight and reappear near land. Military and some government aircraft also switch their transponders' public data off.
